• gifsicle: animated GIF encoder
   
• MPlayer's mencoder: sofisticated movie encoder
   
• ppmtompeg: MPEG-1 movie encoder
   

Utilities:

• xsfConvert: converts the output of different ab initio codes into the XCrySDen's XSF format.
